Rosetta Davis

Mrs. Rosetta Morton Davis, age 89, resident of Morris Avenue in Columbia, passed away on January 9, 2009 at Rosewood Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be conducted Sunday, January 11, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Brother Franklin Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Tom and Ida Taylor Morton and the widow of Henry Davis. Mrs. Davis worked at Whitthorne Middle School in Columbia as a custodian. She was a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son: Donnie Sharon Davis of Columbia; three grandchildren: Tracey Todd Baker of Phoenix, AZ, Kevin Davis, Amanda Deen both of Columbia; great-granddaughter: Jennifer Davis of Columbia; She was preceded in death by two brothers: Tillman Morton and Early Morton; four sisters: Mary King, Julie King, Leacy Davis and Emma Davis.
Pallbearers will be Richard Davis, Dr. Ken Anderson, Arthur Hanes, Wayne Garner, Chet Chunn and James Deen.
Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Jackson Heights Church of Christ, elders and deacons of East Side Church of Christ, Dr. Gibran Naddy, Dr Amit Choksi, Dr. James Richardson, Staff of Rosewood Manor and all nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the East Side Church of Christ, 1024 East Valley Dr. Columbia, TN 38401 or Jackson Heights Church of Christ, 1200 Nashville Hwy, Columbia, TN 38401.
