Roscoe Cox, Jr.

Mr. Roscoe Cox, Jr., age 73, a resident of Roberts Bend Lane in Columbia passed away on Wednesday, March 11, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services for Mr. Cox will be conducted Saturday March 14, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Columbia with Brother Thomas Culberson and Brother Jack Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the United States Army.
The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Born in Williamson County and was the son of the late Roscoe Cox, Sr. and Ruth Spears Cox and was the husband of Eva J. Bradford Cox of Columbia. Mr. Cox retired from Lark Wood Farms in Cross Bridges. He was a member of the Santa Fe Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children: Loretta Cox of Columbia, Michael "Bobbie" Cox of Lawrenceburg and Jonathan Cox of Columbia; a sister: Lucille "Thomas" Melton of Columbia; grandchildren: Shandi Cox, Beth Cox, Criss Cox, Darrell Chandler and Dillon Chandler.
He was preceded in death by four brothers: Marvin C. Cox, Sr., Stanley Cox, Walter Cox, Howard Cox and one sister, Geneva Warren.
Special thanks to the Oncology staff at Maury Regional Medical Center, Dr. Shawn Reed and Shannon, Third Floor Oncology and IV Clinic at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Pallbearers will be Criss Cox, Donnie Melton, Jody Melton, Harry Jaco, Bill Randolph, Brandon Randolph, Brandon Love and Timmy Adams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Santa Fe Baptist Church, all members, friends of Godwin-Chappell United Methodist Church, Goshen united Methodist Church, Sunshiners Singing Group, Santa Fe Volunteers for Christ, Betty and Arnold Pruitt and Naomi Kelly.
Memorials may be made to the Santa Fe Baptist Church, 1551 Roberts Bend Lane, Columbia, TN 38401.
