Ronny “Ron” Wayne Davis, age 68, of Dayton, Ohio and formerly of Maury County, Tennessee, passed away on June 1, 2018 at his residence.
Ronny was born on December 6, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee to Clarence Allen and Hattie Marie England Davis. He was a commercial airline pilot and served in the United States Airforce, attaining the rank of First Lieutenant as a Tanker Pilot. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
Ronny is survived by his sister: Dorothy “Faye” Hendrix of Spring Hill; special nieces: Doris “Jeannie” (Mark) Holt and Patricia “Sissy” Pepper; 1 great niece: Amanda Adams; 3 great nephews: Garrison Holt, Hunter Garrett and Colton Green; 2 great-great nephews; half-sister: Kathy (Jim) Kightlinger and Racheal Kightlinger of Pulaski and several aunts and several cousins and extended family: Anastasia “Stacey” Christopher and family, Teddy Figueroa, Bill Cothron, Shari Hoosier and KayKay Williams.
Funeral services for Ronny will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors being provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 12 Noon until service time at 2:00 p.m.
Pallbearers are Mark Holt, Garrison Holt, Hunter Garrett, Colton Green, Bill Cothron and Teddy Figueroa.
