Mr. Ronnie Parsons, age 52, a resident of Hampshire Pike in Columbia, passed away on Thursday, August 20, in Cookeville, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. John Rushing officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Monday from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Memphis native was born December 13, 1956, the son of Mrs. Norma Evans Knox of Columbia and the late Alfred L. Parsons, Sr. Ronnie was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a car hauler for Allied Systems. Ronnie loved to gather with his family and friends, play guitar, sing and fish.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his children: Kerry Parsons of Great Falls, MT, Brandon Parsons of Covington, TN and Melissa Mitchell of Decaturville, TN; step-daughters: Rebecca Herzog and Diane Short both of Columbia; brothers: Alfred L. Parsons, Jr., Tommy Craig, Jerry Craig and Jimmy Craig, all of Columbia and Johnny Parsons of Tupelo, MS; a brother-in-law: Clarence Edgmon of Columbia; one sister: Lorelei Gail Edgmon of Columbia; a sister-in-law: Michele Craig of Columbia; grandchildren: Hannah, Ethan, Cody, Shelby, Alisha, C'onte, Dayton and Haley; his fiancée, Alison Luttrell of Drummonds, TN; former wife, Mary Parsons of Columbia and special family members: Thelma "T.J." Estes, Josh, Cassie and Daniel Craig.Ronnie was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Craig, Jr.
