Ronald Wayne "Ronnie" Stanford, age 56, a resident of Richmond Road in Columbia, passed away on Thursday, April 17, in Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Stanford will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Pastor Jim Maddox officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Friday from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until service time at the funeral home.
The Maury Co. native was the son of the late Luther Stanford and Edna Childress Stanford. He loved the outdoors, enjoying fishing, camping, hiking and mountain climbing. He was a special uncle who had holiday gatherings at his home for his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his children: Carey Stanford and Candi Stanford, both of Columbia; the mother of his children: Deborah Ballard of Spring Hill; grandchildren: Kayla Stanford and Shawn Whidby, of Columbia; special friend: Wanda Pipkin of Columbia; one sister: Margie David Patterson and one brother: Jeff Stanford, both of Columbia; two sisters-in-law: Brenda Stanford, Beverly Stanford, and one brother-in-law: John Brock, all of Columbia; nieces and nephews: Missy David Browning, Mindy Stanford, Wade Stanford, Keith Stanford, Christie Stanford, Davina Tommy Burleson, Sheryl Billy Butler, Marty Kindred, Jr., Jelena Larry Wayne Smithson, and Melinda Brock, all of Columbia; great-nieces and nephews: Blake Browning, Faith Browning, Destiny browning, Nicholas Burleson, Shayla Burleson, Tyler Burleson, Zachary Kindred, Camden Butler, Ryan Smithson and Kera Smithson, all of Columbia.
Mr. Stanford was preceded in death by two brothers: James Stanford and Robert Stanford and one sister: Marilyn Brock.
