Ronald Wayne ?Ronnie? Kennedy, age 38, a resident of West Sheepneck Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, January 6, in Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Ronnie will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with Rev. Terry Golden officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.

The family will visit with friends on Monday from 4:00 ? 9:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 3:00 ? 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Born in Maury Co., he was the son of Jerry and Ellen McKennon
Kennedy of Mt. Pleasant. He was the husband of Susan Diane Taylor Kennedy of Mt. Pleasant, whom he married on October 25, 1985 He attended Mt. Pleasant schools where he was a member of the FFA. He loved to spend time with his family and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He was a shop foreman with Columbia Machine Works where he worked with his son, father, brother, nephew and friends. He coached Mt. Pleasant Tee-Ball, Farm League, Little League and Babe Ruth baseball. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors not only include his parents and wife but also two wonderful sons, Rodney Wayne Courtney Kennedy and Michael Dylan Kennedy, both of Mt. Pleasant; one sister: Jerilen Kennedy Gray of Mt. Pleasant; one brother: Kevin Lori Kennedy of Mt. Pleasant; in-laws: David and Lenda Taylor of Fairview; two brothers-in-law: his best buddy Gary Beth Taylor of Columbia and David Chig Taylor of Summertown; one sister-in-law: Donna Troy Lovell of Mt. Pleasant, his maternal grandmother: Madelyn McKennon of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and one great-niece. He was preceded in death by one sister: Janet Kennedy, maternal grandfather: Daddy Roy McKennon and his paternal grandparents Artie Mae and Ernest Harvey Kennedy.

Pallbearers will be Randy Gaddes, Mike Gaddes, David Taylor, Jr., Jay Burnes, Bobby Gray and Derek Gray. Honorary pallbearers will be employers and employees of Columbia machine Works and Coaches and players of Mt. Pleasant Little League.
