Mr. Ronald Ray Bowling, age 69, a resident of Scott Hollow Road in Culleoka, passed away on Friday, Dec. 15 in Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Bowling will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Brian Wiesinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Culleoka.
The family will visit with friends on Monday from 5:00 ? 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Pike Co., KY, native was the son of the late Don and Emma Jane Brown Bowling. He was the husband of Mavis Brown Bowling who survives. He was retired from General Motors as a millwright. He was an avid lover of baseball and golf. He enjoyed watching the sports channel and was a collector of baseball and hockey cards. He attended Grace Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons: Michael Dawn Bowling of Columbia and Carlton Susan Bowling of Zephyrhills, FL; two daughters: Kim Bowling of Clintwood, VA and Rhonda Danny Whitacre of Lynnville; seven grandchildren: Amanda Thurston of Columbia, Alicia Lewis of Lynnville, Chelsea Whitacre of Lynnville, Caitlyn Whitacre of Lynnville, Danielle Whitacre of Lynnville, Andrew Bowling of Zephyrills, FL and Dylan Bowling of Zephyrhills, Fl; two brothers: Donald Bowling of Plymouth, MI and Bill Bowling of Plymouth, MI. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
