Ronald Edward Lovell, Jr., 82, of Hampshire, Tennessee passed away on April 4, 2019 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Ron was born on August 13, 1936 to the late Ronald E. Lovell, Sr and Maude Hoover Lovell in Columbia, Tennessee. He worked for Dupont and retired from Spontex to pursue the job he really loved, farming. His farming methods were innovative and progressive, mixed with traditional hard work. Once upon reflection he stated that God is letting me take care of this land for a little while. Ron served as a long-time member of the Tennessee Cattleman’s Association.
He is survived by his loving wife: Joan Lovell; sons: Jeff (Melissa) Lovell of Centerville, Tennessee, Dean (Annita) Scroggins of Goodlettsville and John B. Ackley of Franklin; daughter: Connie Ingram of Culleoka, Tennessee; granddaughter: Bailey (Sam) Schneider of Murfreesboro. He was preceded in death by his parents and son: James R. Lovell.
Services will be Monday, April 8, 2019 at 1:30 PM at Williams Funeral Home, Columbia. Family will visit with friends from 11:30 AM until time of service. Burial will follow at Hoover Cemetery in Hampshire, Tennessee. Military Honors will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19.
