Rolland "Rolly" Edward Fisher

Rolland “Rolly” Edward Fisher, 95, passed away June 14, 2019 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on June 6, 1924 to the late Harvey D. and Esther Swanson Fisher. He was a decorated WWII Veteran who served on the Pacific Coast. He enjoyed duck hunting, off-shore fishing, practical jokes and singing. He loved his family and his dogs very much, was a devout Christian and a kind man.

He is survived by his daughter: Karen (Carlos) Weinheimer of Columbia; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, his children: Mark R Fisher and Paula Jean Fisher; his wife: Jean Shaw Fisher, and six brothers and sisters.

There will be a private memorial service at Trinity Anglican Church, 3001 Veron School Rd, Lafayette, LA 70508, officiated by Rev Peter Johnston, Saturday, June 22nd at 10am followed with military honors at Fountain Memorial Cemetery at 11am, 1010 Pandora St Lafayette, LA 70506.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that that donations be made to Trinity Anglican Church.
