Roberta Witherspoon

Mrs. Roberta Mosley Witherspoon, 70, a resident of Third Avenue in Columbia passed away on Saturday, February 2, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Witherspoon will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Robert Mosley and Addie Burns Mosley. She was the widow of William Walter Brother Witherspoon, Jr. Mrs. Witherspoon was a former employee of Weather Tamer for eighteen years and retired from Premier at Saturn after eight and half years. She was of Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her son: Wendell Ray Witherspoon, Sr. of Only, TN; a sister: Ruby Dawson of Culleoka, TN; a twin brother: Robert Dean Mosley of Linden, TN; two grandchildren: Nicole Tommy Chambers of Lakeland, FL and Wendell Ray Witherspoon, Jr. of Columbia, TN; great-grandchildren: Preston Cole Chambers and Aston Nikolas Chambers both of Lakeland, FL. She was preceded in death by five sisters: Tiny Scroggins, Rena Brown, Geneva Capps, Flora Allen and Patsy Sanders Crumley; two brothers: Claude Mosley and Ed Dempsey Mosley.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Dawson, Robert Sullivan, Johnny Sullivan, Dennis Scroggins, Phillip Sanders, Kevin Sanders, Bobby Capps and Stephen Capps.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Douglas Kennedy, Dr, James Kelly, friends past and present workers of Premier, past and present friends of Weather Tamer and friends of the Senior Citizens; God Children: Sanatana Knott and Little T. Mangrum.
