Robert Dudley Rivers, 69, passed away on December 05, 2020, at Countryside Post Acute and Rehabilitation Center in Lawrenceburg, TN.
Robert was born on May 06, 1951, in Columbus, GA, to his late parents Bonner and Mildred Dotlich Rivers. He was a graduate of George State University with a BBA in Marketing.
Robert owned his own company called As-Built Services of Tennessee. His firm was an architectural consulting company that worked to survey and develop AutoCAD files for both commercial and residential customers. Robert's true passion, though, was music. He was a talented singer-songwriter, guitar player, and gifted harmonicist. He often played with a band under the title " Robert Rivers & Floodwater." Their bluegrass and Americana tunes could be heard often around Nashville and Leiper's Fork.
A memorial service will be held for Robert with his family privately at a later date.
Robert is survived by his siblings: Bonnie Malley, Barbara Rivers, George Rivers, and nieces Lisa McTyre, Karen Drake, Rachel Nightengale, and great-nephew Garrison McTyre.
He is preceded in death by his nephew, David Rivers.
