Robert P. Garbarina

Mr. Robert P. ?Gabby? Garbarina, 85, a resident of Haven Drive in Columbia, died Friday, October 24, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Garbarina will be conducted Monday, October 27, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Jim Holland officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born in New York City, he was the son of the late William and Katherine Schwallie Garbarina and the husband of Myra Perry Garbarina. He was a retired acid plant operator from Occidental Chemical Company and an army Veteran.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Linda Garbarina of Columbia; special niece and nephew, Haley and David Foster and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Raymond Garbarina.
Pallbearers will be Gearld Foster, Kenny McDonald, Bernie Caperton, Ken Cathey, Nicholas Cathey, Ken Horner, Eric Horner and Jimmy Holland. Honorary pallbearers will be Friends of Kroger, Friends of Fisher Pharmacy, Friends of Occidental, Dickerson Eye Care and Friends of Columbia Gardens Center.
