Robert Louis Moore

Mr. Robert Louis Moore, age 90 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Robert was born on October 28, 1924 to Joseph and Julian Stevenson Moore in Maury County, Tennessee. He was a retiree of the steel industry. Robert loved to go fishing, especially for brim. He was a friendly man who never met strangers. One of his favorite past-times was watching cowboy movies. He loved his family and had almost one hundred grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie Woodson Moore, whom he married on September 3, 1996; daughters: Ethel Jean (Albert Thomas) Hampton from Kalamazoo, MI, Debra Moore from Chicago, IL, Wanda Jones from Battle Creek, MI, Shirley Robinson from Mt. Pleasant, TN, Debra (Frank) Taylor from Jackson, MI, Romona Moore from Kalamazoo, MI and Sharon Braden from Mt. Pleasant, TN; sons: James W. (Monica) Moore from Germany, Johnny B. D. Moore, from Spring Hill, TN; stepchildren: Erik (Donna) Wright and Jessica Woodson; sisters-in-law: Cora Armstrong, Elizabeth (Steve) Woodson, Mildred Woodson, Paulene (John) Woodson; 27 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren; and his very special girl, Syrena. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Julian Stevenson Moore; and his son, Joe W. Moore; sister-in-law, Ophelia Woodson; brothers-in-law, Julius Woodson and James Woodson.

Funeral services for Mr. Moore will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. The family will visit with friends on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.
