Mr. Robert Leroy Carroll, 76, a resident of Elizabeth Street in Shelbyville, died Sunday, November 3, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Graveside services for Mr. Carroll will be conducted Monday, November 4, 2002 at 2:30 p.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Kevin White officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home.
The Dixon County, Kentucky native was the son of the late William Marshall, Sr. and Louise Stuart Carroll. He attended Hay Long High School and was former resident of Mt. Pleasant. He was an electrician and member of the Locust Street Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by a sister, Rachel Mae Joe Raulins of Clinton, Iowa; a brother, William Marshall Betty Carroll, Jr. of Columbia, Tennessee; five nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Donald White, Clyde Farris, Jack Brunson, Douglas Fraser, Walter Marlin, and Bill Carroll. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the East Side Church of Christ.
