Robert Harmon Whipple

Mr. Robert Harmon Whipple, age 88, a resident of the Farm Community in Summertown, passed away on Monday, November 13, at Hidden Acres Nursing Home in Mt. Pleasant
A private graveside service for Mr. Whipple will be conducted at a later date. Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Oakland, CA, he was the son of the late John Cleveland and Edith Maria Harmon Whipple and husband of the late Margaret Munger Whipple. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher. He served in the Pacific in the Navy during WWII.
He is survived by three daughters, Anita Whipple Peter Schweitzer of Summertown, Kathy Whipple Wong of Auburn, CA and Marie Whipple of Bakersfield, CA; a son, David Carol Whipple of New Mexico; a brother Keith Whipple of California; 5 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Tom Whipple.
