Robert A. Evans

Robert "Bob" Evans, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a talented musician passed away peacefully on May 15, 2023, at the age of 88. Born and raised in the vibrant city of Brooklyn, Bob was the son of Nicholas and Catherine Evans. He dedicated his life to a successful career in transportation logistics, but his true passion lay in the world of music and art.

Bob was a man of many talents and a creative soul. His skillful hands danced across the piano keys, filling the air with beautiful melodies that resonated with everyone who had the pleasure of hearing him play. He nurtured his gift as a songwriter and poet, crafting poignant and heartfelt pieces that expressed the depths of his emotions.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Bob possessed the unique ability to captivate others with his storytelling. His tales, rich with vivid details and humor, transported listeners to different worlds, leaving them enthralled and yearning for more. He was a masterful weaver of words, and his stories will continue to be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to experience his gift.

Outside of his artistic pursuits, Bob found solace in his hobbies. He had a fondness for raising pigeons, taking pride in their graceful flight and beauty. His craftsmanship extended to making wooden crosses, which he lovingly created and sold at local flea markets, sharing his passion for woodworking with others.

Bob's culinary skills were legendary, with his lasagna being hailed as a world-famous delicacy. Family and friends eagerly gathered around his table, savoring each bite of the mouthwatering dish. His kitchen was always filled with the aroma of his delectable creations, bringing warmth and joy to those he loved.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Peggy, who stood by his side through the highs and lows of life, for as long as she could. Together, they built a bond that withstood the test of time, creating a home filled with love and laughter. He will forever be remembered as a caring and nurturing father to his children, Elizabeth (Pat) Frensley and Brian Evans. Bob also embraced Peggy's children as his own, becoming a loving stepfather to David (Betty) Fuller and Craig (Debbie) Fuller.

The light of Bob's life shone brightly upon his grandchildren: Chase (Madi) Lutz and Sara Lutz, who carry his spirit and legacy within them. He was also a cherished step-grandfather to Reva, Chris, and John Fuller. Bob's joy expanded with the arrival of his great-grandchild, Sadie Rose Phillips, who brought immeasurable happiness in his final months.

Bob's sister, Patricia Tamlyn, shared a special bond with him, providing unwavering support and camaraderie throughout their lives. He was predeceased by his first wife, Maureen Evans, his son Robert Evans, and his brother Dennis Evans. Their memories will forever be held close to the hearts of those who loved him.
