Robert E. Lee Davis

September 24, 1918 — July 20, 2004

Mr. Robert E. Lee Wilson Davis, 85, former long-time resident of Mooresville Pike in Columbia and a resident of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at NHC-Hillview.

Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be conducted Thursday July 22, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Bob Vassar officiating. Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery in Hickman County with military honors being provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post # 19. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p. m. at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the son of the late Tom and Sally Rosson Davis. He was the widower of Lois Osborne Davis. Mr. Davis was a retired farmer and an avid fisherman. He served in the United States Army during World War II and a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children, Linda Marvin, Jr. Reese and Billy Lorene Webb both of Columbia, TN; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Webb Stokes and a son, James Lee Webb; several brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will Tim Ownby, Odell Stokes, Eddie Anderson, Everett Stokes, John Thomas Stokes and Marvin Reese.
