Robert Columbus Goodman

Mr. Robert Columbus Goodman, 70, a resident of Hohenwald, Tennessee passed away Friday, January 9, 2004 at his home.
Born in Alamo, TN, he was the son of the late Hasse and Inez Edwards Goodman. He was the devoted husband of Charlene Smith Goodman of Hohenwald, TN. He was a former long time resident of Crown Point, IN. He retired as a diesel mechanic for Penske Truck Leasing in East Chicago, IN. He loved yard work, antique tractors, auto racing and his dog Bear.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert Sara Goodman, Jr. of Valparaiso, IN; three sisters, Georgia G. Braun of Dallas TX, Charlotte G. DeRossett of Buena Park, CA, and Patsy Dingsdale of Sacramento, CA; two brothers, Bill Goodman of Ft. Wayne, IN and Benny Goodman of Summertown, TN; several nieces and nephews; three step-daughters, Debbie Parker and Carrie Nichols both of St. Charles, IL and Brenda Albert Zegiel of Gays Mills, WI; a step-son, Stanley Eason of Dixon, IL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Louise Lynch of TN, Katheryn Zialinski of CA, Vassa Lee Wozny of TN, Mary Elizabeth Lowman of TN; one brother, Joe Edward Lynch of TN; one half-sister, Eva Nola Goodman Williams of TN; two half-brothers, Fred Goodman of TN and Clint Goodman of TN.
A memorial service for Mr. Goodman will be conducted Saturday, January 17, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Kouts Christian Church, 208 S. Poland Avenue, Kouts, IN 46347.
