Ricky Don Lanier

Ricky Don Lanier, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, in Columbia, TN. He was born on March 5, 1961, to the late Jim Lanier and Anne Brown Lanier in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
Ricky was a loyal and dedicated man. He was strong-willed and dealt with much adversity in his life. Ricky was a simple man and had a love for all the simpler things in life. He was one of the hardest workers his family had ever known. He valued all those close to him and was devoted to all of those around him. His greatest love of all was his daughter, Heather "Kid" Lanier.
He is survived by his daughter: Heather (Lee Walters) Lanier, sister: Shirley (Larry) Bennett, Betty (Terry) Jennings; brother: Gary Lanier, Jerry (Janet) Lanier; numerous cousins, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Ricky is preceded in death by his wife: Cynde Lanier; brother: Charles Lanier; sister: Joyce Long.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service for Ricky will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. with Art McCormick officiating. He will be laid to rest at Hinestown Cemetery in Summertown.
Pallbearers will be: Wayne Johnson, Lee Walters, Christopher Lanier, Mark Runions, Marshal Kinslow, and Johnny Potts.
