Mr. Ricky ?Little Rick? Hancock, 44, a resident of Thomas Avenue in Columbia, died Sunday, January 11, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Hancock will be conducted Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parkway Baptist Church with Reverend Darrell Bewley and Reverend Ricky Cotton officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday and Tuesday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home.
The Maury County native was the son of Franklin and Sadie Whitley hancock of Columbia. He was program director, music director, and D.J. for WXRQ radio station in Mt. Pleasant in which he was affiliated with for 15 years. He was a member of the Cross Bridges Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, David Lee Stephanie Hancock and Frank Selena Hancock, Jr. both of Columbia; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tom Harmon, Steve Anderson, Jerry Baggett, Billy Ray King, Steven McCandless, and Wayne Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Cross Bridges Baptist Church and employees of WXRQ radio station.
