Ricky L. Burns, 51, a resident of Lenox Drive in Columbia, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2008 at his residence.
Funeral services for Mr. Burns will be conducted Sunday, February 17, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Dawson and Reverend Pete Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Santa Fe Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00- 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of Malcomb Eugene "Mert" Burns of Columbia and the late Evelyn Fitzgerald Burns. He was the husband of Tabatha Cash Burns. Mr. Burns was a Production Manager for Custom Steel Fabricators and a realtor for Century 21 for a couple of years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Columbia.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by a son: Hayden Burns of Columbia, TN; a brother: Travis Joye Burns of Charleston, S.C. and a sister: Patsy Tom Johnson of Columbia, TN; Connie Burns, special friend and mother of Hayden.
Pallbearers will be Erik Johnson, Kevin Burns, Trevor Burns, Michael Vaughn, Jonathan Westmoreland, Barry Potts, Jerry Potts and Alan Thomason.
Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Custom Steel Fabricators, members of First Baptist Church of Columbia, Dr. Alan Cohen, Dr. Douglas York, David Fann and Mike Vaughn.
