Ricky H. Mccafferty

Ricky was born on June 16, 1959 in Lawrence County. He was the son of the late Virgil Holt and Barbara Pierce McCafferty. For the past 35 years, Ricky was a carpet layer. He was presently working for Johnson's Carpet in Columbia. He loved fishing and playing his guitar. He enjoyed playing a variety of music. Ricky's family said he had the most positive attitude of anyone they ever knew.

Ricky is survived by three daughters, Amanda Earl Seale of Summertown, Mariah McCafferty and Rikki "Rhiana" McCafferty both of Lawrenceburg; two sons, Cory Tara McCafferty of Mt. Pleasant and Justin McCafferty of Lawrenceburg; a brother, Steve McCafferty of Columbia; his special girlfriend, Melanie Duncan of Columbia; his grandchildren, Preston Drake McQuilling, Jayce Guy Seale, Samantha Kay McCafferty, Vanden Holt McCafferty and Conner Scott Duncan; three nieces, Amber Gaye McCafferty, Stephanie Ann McCafferty and Stevie Lee McCafferty; and a nephew, Joshua David McCafferty. He was preceded in death by a nephew Shaun Lee McCafferty.

Ricky was 51 years old and a resident of E. Burt Drive in Columbia. He passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Ricky will be conducted at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 11, 2010 in the chapel of the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points officiating.

The McCafferty family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
