Richard Allen Dee

Mr. Richard Allen Dee, age 69, a resident of Terrapin Branch Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, March 12, in an accident near Greenville, SC.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 5:00 ? 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Hartwick, IA, native was the son of the late Leonard and Violet Bope Dee. He was the husband of Ruth Jones Dee of Mt. Pleasant, whom he married on May 29, 1960. He was a driver for Ryder Logistics Transportation since 1992. He was a member of the Hallmark Keepsake Collectors Club and enjoyed collecting ornaments on line. He was a member of the Army National Guard and Faith Presbyterian Church in Goodlettsville where he had served as a deacon
Survivors in addition to his wife include four sons: Randy Cindy Dee of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kyle Barb Dee of Davenport, IA, Steven Dee of Platte City, MO and Karl Julie Dee of Madison, MS; one daughter: Sheri Dee of Conway, AR; one brother: Roger Marilyn Dee of Boone, IA and his grandchildren: Rachel, Jacob and Jordan Dee of Cedar Rapids, IA, Nicholas, Meagan and Elizabeth Dee of Davenport, IA, Stephanie and Justin Dee of St. Joseph, MO, and Caroline and Colson Dee of Madison, MS.
