Jada Renee Chapman Baxter was born September 11, 1974 in Columbia, the daughter of Patricia G. Lewis Holloway of Summertown and James E. "Woofie" Chapman, Jr. of Lewisburg. Renee was currently attending Columbia State Community College, pursuing a career in nursing while working part time for Hospice Compassus. She thoroughly enjoyed horseback riding and was a mother to many, not just her own children. Rene loved all different kinds of music and riding Harleys. She spent much time as a child with her dad riding in his 'big rig" and was even interested in learning how to drive one, which he greatly discouraged! One of the greatest delights in her life was her granddaughter, Taylend Renee.
Survivors in addition to her mother and father include her step-father, Ricky Holloway of Summertown; her beloved children, Corey Wayne Beckum, Destiny Diamond Baxter, Amber Mai Baxter and Ronnie Love Baxter; her dear granddaughter, Taylend Renee Baxter; one half-brother, Tyler Holloway of Summertown; grandparents, James E. , Sr., and Evelyn L. Chapman of Columbia and her special friend, Betty Savage, with whom she spent much time riding horses.
Funeral services for Renee will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Randy Keene officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
