Rebecca "Becky" Jackson

Rebecca "Becky" Ann Jackson, beloved wife, mother, mimi, and sister, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, in Columbia, Tennessee, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. Born on March 22, 1952, to the late JL and Mary Calahan in Odessa, Texas, Rebecca's life was a testament to kindness, devotion, and faith.

Rebecca's journey was intertwined with her soulmate, Calvin H. Jackson, whom she married on June 12, 1970. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with cherished memories and shared joys. Their union blessed them with two children, Micheal Jackson and April Jackson.

A woman of simple pleasures, Rebecca found immense joy in life's little treasures. Whether it was cooking to the tune of country music, crafting garments for her loved ones, or simply sharing hearty laughs, she embraced each moment with a contagious zest for life. Her warm spirit and nurturing nature led her to establish her own babysitting service in her younger years, where she found fulfillment in guiding and nurturing the children under her care.

Rebecca's faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a dedicated member of the West 7th Church of Christ. Immersing herself in the congregation's activities, she found purpose in spreading love and wisdom, particularly through her involvement in Vacation Bible School, where she touched the lives of many.

Rebecca is survived by her devoted husband, Calvin Jackson; children: Micheal Jackson and April (Bradley) Thompson; grandchildren: Braden and Tandyn Thompson; brother, Ricky (Carla) Davis; sister: Shelly (Lawrence) Smajstrla; and sister-in-law, Lisa Davis.

In addition to her parents, Rebecca is preceded in death by her brother, Joe Davis.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 AM in the Garden of Prayer at Polk Memorial Gardens. Rebecca's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her kindness, laughter, and unwavering love.

Pallbearers are Bradley Thompson, Braden Thompson, Tandyn Thompson, Micheal Jackson, Troy Rubert, David Ward, and Andy Reed.
