Mrs. Reba Louise Morphis
Mrs. Reba Louise Hagood Morphis, 76, a resident of Enterprise Road in Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, May 28, 2006 at NHC/Hillview.
Funeral services for Mrs. Morphis will be conducted Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Mike Dawson officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Born in Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Madden and Louisa Moore Hagood and wife of the late Robert Loyd ?R.L.? Morphis. She was in the nursing profession for 45 years and retired from Hidden Acres Health Care in Mt. Pleasant. She attended Blue Springs Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Charlie Woodard of Columbia, Leigh Fred Sims of Lebanon; two sons, Robert Louis Morphis of Spring Hill and Leslie Ronna Morphis of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, David Vicki Morphis and Joe Morphis, both of Murfreesboro, Beth Morphis, Tara Eric Smith, both of Spring Hill, Emily Woodard of Columbia, Aaron Nance and Daniel Nance, both of Lebanon; great grandchildren, Ashley Morphis of Murfreesboro and Blake Ryan Smith of Spring Hill; a brother, J.M. Mary Hagood of Pulaski and a sister, Geneva Hugh Orr of Columbia. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carson Hagood and a sister, Addie Lee Phillips.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers will be the nursing staff of Hidden Acres Nursing Home and NHC/Hillview.
