R.B. Brooks, age 59 of Columbia, passed away at his residence November 19, 2013.
R.B. was born November 11, 1954 to the late Robert and Gladys Potts Brooks in Columbia, Tennessee. He was retired from the City of Columbia, and he worked for Fox Hardwood Lumber after his retirement. Mr. Brooks was always piddling around, he was never still. He took pleasure in the simple beauty of life. R.B. loved his pets and being outdoors. His family was his world.
Mr. Brooks is survived by his adored wife Mary Lou Brooks; his son: Andrew and Michelle Brooks; and his grandchildren that made his life complete: Seth Brooks, Gabrielle Brooks, and Ethan Brooks.
The family will visit with friends Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Services will be conducted Friday, November 22, 2013 at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Tommy Fox and Pastor Ronnie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Potts Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dean Adkisson, Shane Adkisson, Brian Adkisson, Mac Potts, Kenneth Potts, Gerald Potts, Emerson Potts, and Larry Parkington.
