Raymond R.C. Chaney

March 2, 1926 — April 13, 2004

Mr. Raymond ?R.C.? Chaney, 78, formerly of Columbia and a resident of the Dandridge Towers on Ocala Drive in Nashville, died Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.

Funeral services for Mr. Chaney will be conducted Saturday, April 17, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Dan Winkler officiating. Burial will be in Talley Cemetery in Petersburg at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.

Born in Cordova, AL, he was the son of the late Raymond and Maggie Spires Chaney, Sr. and husband of the late Maycie Luna Chaney. He was a retired truck driver with Smith Trucking in Louisville, KY and a member of Crieve Hall Church of Christ.

He is survived by three daughters, Connie Deeb and Millie Heim, both of Nashville and Donna Ronnie Glass of Jeffersonville, IN; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Carpenter of Columbia, TN; a brother, Bob Chaney of Columbia; a sister-in-law, JoAnn Cooke of Franklin; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
