Raymond Kelley

Raymond was born on March 11, 1937 in Maury County, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Charlie Thedford and Judy May Sullivan Kelley. Raymond was an Army Veteran and a retired mechanic with Nashville Machine Elevator Company. Raymond was an avid golfer. His son Ryan said he has fond memories of him and his dad playing golf anywhere there was a golf course. Raymond loved watching the TN-Vols football games and having a cup of coffee with his buddies at McDonalds. He also loved gardening. Raymond was of the Christian faith. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and coach. Raymond loved each of his children dearly.

Raymond is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Ruth Kelley of Virginia; two sons, Raymond Todd Kelley of Kentucky and Ryan Trent Kelley of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters, Jean Chapman of Summertown, Elizebeth Sanders of Lebanon and Erma Roper of Piedmont, South Carolina; a brother, E.W. Kelley of Maury County; his grandchildren, Jordan Brown Kelley, Delaney Blaze Kelley, Daniel Jade Kelley, Micah Azur Kelley, Katie Teal Kelley, Jaclyn Rose Kelley and Ashley Paige Gilchriest.

Raymond was 73 years old and a resident of Haley Lane in Mt. Pleasant. He passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services for Raymond will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 15, 2011 in the chapel of the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Matthew Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors being provided by the United States Army.

The Kelley family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.
