Mr. Raymond Harding Morrow, 82, a resident of the Mooresville Pike at Culleoka, died Friday, February 7, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Morrow will be conducted Sunday, February 9, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with John Vaughan and Tim McHenry officiating. Burial will be in the Lynnwood Cemetery at Lynnville with military honors being provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post # 19. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was the son of the late John Daniel and Lula Kate Wells Morrow. He was born and raised in Giles County where he graduated from Campbellsville High School. He was preceded in death in 1970 by his first wife, Ann Hargrove Morrow. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Hickman Morrow, of Culleoka and was a member of the Culleoka Church of Christ where he had at one time served as deacon. He was a self-employed farmer and a retiree of Union Carbide Corporation. Having served in the U.S. Army during World War II, He received the World War II Victory Medal, the European, African, and Middle Eastern Theater Ribbons with four bronze service stars, Good Conduct with clasp, American Defense Ribbon, and the American Theater Ribbon.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters Carol Anne Kenneth Haynes of Murfreesboro and Mary Jean Morrow of Old Hickory; two sons, Raymond H. "Ray" Morrow, Jr. of Culleoka and William Daniel "Boone" Kathy Morrow of Columbia; three grandsons, Brian "Bear" Morrow of Lewisburg, Jason "Duck" Leslie Morrow of Culleoka, and Brandon Haynes of Murfreesboro; four granddaughters, Dana Morrow of Cleveland, TN, Carrie Scott Goldman of Cleveland, TN, Laurie Toby Gilley of Murfreesboro, and Jennifer Haynes of Spartanburg, SC; one great granddaughter, Isabella Gilley of Murfreesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Morrow Thurman and Lucille Morrow Richardson; three brothers, Louis Morrow, Evans Morrow, and twin brother, Rutherford Morrow.
Active pallbearers will be Stanley Scott, Kevin Pitts, Jason Hardison, , Robert Thompson, Jimmy Burton, Larry Delk, Troy Dugger, Larry Morrow, and Louis Morrow.
Honorary pallbearers will be the elders, deacons, and all other men of the Culleoka Church of Christ and retirees of Union Carbide Corporation.
