Raymond H. Helston

Dr. Raymond Helston, age 81, a resident of Culleoka, and formerly of Bakersfield, CA passed away Saturday morning at Signature Healthcare.
An accomplished pianist, a Doctor for over 46 years, a missionary to the Northwest Territories and a friend, Dr. Helston is remembered as a man that would help any one regardless of the cost. Originally born in Toronto, Canada to the late Herbert and Violet Helston. He has been a U.S. citizen for over 14 years. He and his wife were members of the First Assembly Church of God in Columbia.
Dr. Helston was preceded in death by his son Daniel Helston. He is survived by his wife Beth Helston of 42 years, His seven children: David Carrie Helston of North Carolina, Lori Kernick of Alberta, Canada, Wendy Hans Elgby of Saskatchewan, Canada, Deborah Tony Ware of Alberta, Canada, Graham Brenda Helston of Bakersfield, CA, Brendon Jenny Helston of Bakersfield CA, Angela Martin Benefield of Culleoka, TN. Raymond is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Dr. Helston will be held Saturday June 2, 2012 at The First Assembly Church of God, beginning at 11 am. The family will receive friends starting at 10 am until service time
