Raymond Freemon Workman, age 92, a resident of Lawrenceburg Highway in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, at NHC Columbia.
Graveside services for Mr. Workman will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel mausoleum at Polk Memorial Gardens with Wesley McDonald officiating. Entombment will follow with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30 ? 2:00 P.M. at the mausoleum. Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant is in charge of arrangements.
Born on July 25, 1917 in Maury County, Mr. Workman was the son of the late W.J. Workman and Annie Cook Workman. He was the husband of Wilda Corbin Workman who preceded him in death on May 29, 1995. Raymond was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired railroad employee and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include one son: Stanley R. Janet Workman of Republic, MO; grandchildren: Raymond D. Tammy Workman of Springfield, MO and Angela L. Brad Daugherty of Festus, MO; great-grandchildren: Sabrina L. Workman and Krystal N. Workman of Springfield, MO, Morgan E. Daugherty and Taylor Daugherty of Festus, MO; one sister: Sarah Everette Witherow of Mt. Pleasant; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Robert E. Frances Workman, W.J.Orez Workman, Jr., Judge Edward T. Helen Workman, Gladys William Hoge and Era Otis Adams.
