Randy Murrell Woods

Randy Murrell Woods, age 67, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2021 unexpectedly at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee. Randy was born May 7, 1953 in Mount Pleasant, TN to the late Ollie B. Woods and the late Betty Ann "Long" Woods.

Randy a native of Mt. Pleasant, TN grew up farming tobacco with his family. He was no stranger to hard work, he often had a hard time actually relaxing. He would usually find a lawnmower to repair or something to be done outside around his house. When he wasn't working on something he was likely socializing. He never met a stranger and would talk until the cows come home. Randy was a loving husband and father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend and he will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

Randy is survived by his sons: Sam (Lucy) Woods and Dan Woods; grandchildren: Hailey Woods, Austin Woods, and Kayla Anderson, and Dalton New; and great grandson: Tucker New. Randy is preceded in death by his wife: Gretchen Belle Woods; and parents: Ollie B. Woods and Betty Ann Long Woods.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, TN. A celebration of Randy's life will be held immediately following visitation Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Blowing Springs Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
