Randy Lee Elston

Randy Lee Elston, age 71, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at his residence.

Randy was born on April 24, 1947 to Ralph W. Elston and Delores Frost Elston in Spokane, Washington. He was raised on a farm in Illinois. Throughout his life, Randy never forgot the values and principles that were bestowed upon him by his Uncle Paul. Randy married Louise Ann Chizevsky and the two were married for fifty-three years. He worked as the Vice President of Human Resources for Dana Corporation until he retired. He finally retired from Columbia State Community College as Human Resources Director.

As an avid sports lover; especially baseball and basketball; Randy coached, umpired, facilitated and viewed his children’s teams as well as others. In retirement he thoroughly enjoyed his photography hobby, Monday night poker with his buddies, and spending quality time with his children and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee at 1:00 p.m. The family will visit with friends from 12:00 p.m. until the service. An inurnment will take place at a later date at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Randy is survived by his loving wife Louise Elston; children Frank Elston and his wife Tammy, Dennis Elston and his wife Heather; daughter Erin Conner and her husband Rocky Conner; grandchildren Jacob Elston, Amy Rogers, Alicia Powell, Amber Powell, Gwen Baldwin, Anna Marie Conner, and Ian Joseph Conner. He will be missed by his beloved dog Rikki.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Delores Elston.
