Ramona Kay Howard, age 59, a resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center on the afternoon of March 4, 2014.
Born April 10, 1954 to the late Earl Garland and Martha Ann “Stacey” Howard, Ramona worked for many years at Shoney’s as well as many other local restaurants. She was an extremely kind person who was full of love – she loved to cook, loved her cats, loved music and movies – she just loved life. She was like a mother to many but especially adored her grandkids. She will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her.
Ramona is survived by her mother, Martha Ann (Willie) Howard of Quinton, Alabama, her daughter Angel K. Lockridge and son, Christopher Hambright, of Columbia, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Matthew Dade Lockridge, Amandrianna Hood and Christopher Ladel Hambright, Jr. She is also survived by her sisters, Wanda (Robert) Stockard, Leigh Ann (Richard) Jones, Tracy Howard, and Paula K. (Rick) Sanders.
Ramona was preceded in death by her brother David Esmon Howard of Columbia and her sister Donna Carol Howard of Columbia.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Williams Funeral Home from noon until 2:00 pm with Services immediately thereafter at Williams Funeral Home and burial at Polk Memorial Gardens.
