Ralph Michael Wair, Sr., age 75, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023. He was born in Nashville toA.E. “Doc” Wair Sr. and Veatrice Campbell Wair, and graduated from Antioch High School, Class of 1965. Ralph worked as a commercial truck driver the entirety of his career and was active in the Teamsters Union.
Ralph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved the outdoors, his cows and working on his farm, watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports and other activities, horses, music, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family, his sense of humor, and kindness.
He was very handy with car repairs and advice (whether it was asked for or not – just kidding – he gave the BEST advice). He had many friends who he loved, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to a friend in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepdaughter Ginger Kneip Warner, sister Juanita Wair Jackson, brothers Arthur E. Wair, Jr., Wendell Byron Wair, Ewing Theron Wair, and Larry Don Wair.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sandy Wair, and his children Kellye Wair (Dave) Raiford and Micheal (Lisa) Wair, Jr., and brother Sidney Wair.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Michelle Lee Raiford, Allison Warner, Jessica (Reed) Curtis, David Wilson, Matthew Warner, Jordan (Connor) Worden, Rachel Raiford, Jacob Wair, and Rebecca Raiford, and great-grandchildren Waylon and Emory Curtis.
The family suggest memorials to Ralph be made by donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
