Rachel Virginia Kannon

Rachel Virginia Kannon was born March 18, 1927 in Columbia. She was the daughter of the late John Thomas Langley and Abbie Lou Cathey Langley. She was a retired nurse's aid at King's Daughters and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Bratton of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Margaret Thomas Flodeen of Wisc.; two brothers, Billy Langley and Bobby Langley; one grandson, Randy Tina Bratton of Mt. Pleasant; one great-grandson, Austin Bratton of Mt. Pleasant and a brother-in-law, Ben Martin of El Paso, TX. In addition to her parents, Rachel was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Martin.

Mrs. Kannon passed away on Friday, December 9, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Ricky Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
