Polly Gabell Goodloe

July 27, 1917 — October 29, 2003

Mrs. Pauline Corless Gabell ?Polly? Goodloe, 86, the wife of Mr. Jimmy Goodloe and a resident of Hay Long Avenue in Mt. Pleasant died Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at Alterra Sterling House in Columbia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Goodloe will be conducted Saturday, November 1, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Reverend Emily Barker officiating. Burial will be in the Lawrence Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Shadden and Bula Edwards Gabell. She was a former bookkeeper for Barr Motor Company and Parks Motor Sales. She was a homemaker and a loving mother. Mrs. Goodloe hobbies include knitting and crocheting. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, James M. Veronica Goodloe, Jr. and John B. Loretta Goodloe both of Columbia, TN; a sister, Margie Calvert of Nashville, TN; two granddaughters, Tina Robert, Jr. Johnson and Robin Michael Pilkinton both of Columbia; a step granddaughter, Vikki Beckham of Franklin, TN; great-grandchildren, William Pilkinton, Grace Pilkinton, Rachael Johnson and Robert Johnson; several nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine Morgan and Mattie Ruth McGrew.

Pallbearers will be Jim McGrew, Hunt Dugger, Vance Brummal, Michael Pilkinton, William Johnson, Billy Dial and Ed Morton.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Pleasant.
