Mrs. Polly A. Hobbs Paul Chapman Sullivan, age 72, resident of Pawnee Trail in Columbia, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sullivan will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 22, 2010 in the chapel of the Williams Funeral Home of Columbia with Rev. Mike Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home.
Born June 6, 1938 in Whitwell, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Chester Hobbs and the late Billie Faye Mosier Smith. She was retired from the Saturn Corp. and she was presently working at the UAW Credit Union in Spring Hill. Mrs. Sullivan enjoyed reading, camping, knitting, and was a wonderful cook. She also loved country music. Her passion in life was spending quality time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church of Columbia.
Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her husband, Robert Sullivan of Columbia; two daughters, Vicki Palonen of St. Simons, GA and Katherine Chris Brochue of Columbia; a son, Kenneth Tony Debbie Paul of Altamonte Springs, FL; a former daughter-in-law, Vicki Paul of Michigan; step-children, Rhonda Ricky Reed of Columbia and Michael Annette Sullivan of Lewisburg; her grandchildren: Curtis Paul, Tiffany Paul and Brittany Paul all of Michigan, Kyle Brochue of Columbia and Peyton Paul of Florida; step-grandchildren, Madison and Austin Reed of Columbia and Marti and Marilyn Sullivan of Lewisburg; and great-grandchildren, Gage and Hannah Paul both of Michigan; brothers and sister, LeRoy Hobbs, Jerry Smith, Tommy Smith and Billy Smith all of Tennessee , Wesley Smith of Georgia and Libby Doran of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her step-father, J.W. Smith.
Active pallbearers will be Curtis Paul, Kyle Brochue, LeRoy Hobbs, Jerry Smith, Tommy Smith, Billy Smith and Wesley Smith.
