Phyllis June Nicholson

Mrs. Phyllis June Russell Nicholson, 65, a resident of Hwy 166 North in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, February 17, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Nicholson will be conducted Friday, February 20 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Elmer Crosby officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of Katherine Cross Russell of Mt. Pleasant and the late Gilbert Russell. She was the wife of Tommy Wayne Nicholson of Mt. Pleasant. Mr. & Mrs. Nicholson ran a grocery store in Mt. Pleasant for 21 years, then she worked for Video Villa for several years and loved to work on the computer. She was of Baptist faith.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son: Rodney Nicholson of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: McKayla Nicholson and Dylan Nicholson both of Mt. Pleasant; a brother: Ronnie Carla Russell of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters: Dianne Lynn Clark of W. Palm Beach, FL and Sandra David Newton of Lexington, AL; one uncle: Ed "Junior" Edith Cross of Mt. Pleasant; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Vicky Ann Nicholson and her father, Gilbert Russell.
Pallbearers will be Dax Russell, Roland McKnight, George Gilliam, Butch Hughes, Billy Hollis, Gil Harbin and Paul Crews.
Honorary pallbearers will be community friends, neighbors and employees of Video Villa.
Memorials may be made to the Allensville Baptist Church, 1260 First Avenue, Mt. Pleasant, TN 38474.
