Phillip Ronald Kalliainen

June 11, 1982 — February 23, 2005

Mr. Phillip Ronald Kalliainen, 22, died Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at his residence on Park Plus Court in Columbia.

Funeral services for Mr. Kalliainen will be conducted Monday, February 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Larry Hastings officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors being provided by the Tennessee National Guard. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 1:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Pontiac, Michigan native was the son of Ronald Kalliainen and Ms. Donna Hamblin both of Columbia, Tennessee. He was a graduate of Spring Hill High School and was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic by trade. He had served our country in the 771st Unit of the Tennessee National Guard in Iraq in which he was honorably discharged in August of 2004.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Aaron Kalliainen of Columbia, TN; his step mother, Elizabeth Hicks of Columbia, TN; a step sister, Emmalee Hicks of Columbia, TN; his paternal grandfather, Arthur R. Kalliainen of Columbia, TN; his maternal grandparents, Paul H. and Glenda Hamblin of Harlan, KY; two aunts, Teresa Hamblin of Harlan, KY and Helen Mangus of Columbia, TN; an uncle, Paul H. Hamblin, Jr. of Columbia, TN; a niece, Emma Faith Kalliainen of Columbia, TN; his loving companion, Tina Potts of Columbia, TN; the most devoted and best friend, his dog, Scooby.

Pallbearers will be Chad Bierschbach, Aaron Kalliainen, Paul H. Hamblin, Jr., Craig Foote, Damon White, Jerry Dillehay, Devel Brooks, and Keith Potts. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the 771st Unit of the Tennessee National Guard.
