Mr. Philip Ashley ?Cheesey? Parish, 40, a resident of Golf Club Road in Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Parish will be conducted Thursday, October 27, 2005 at 2:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Chris Seifert officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 5:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
Born in Charleston, SC, he was the son of Harry Edward and Frida Redick Parish and husband of Marsha Tucker Parish. He was an agent for American General Insurance in Columbia and a former family service counselor for Williams Funeral Home and Polk Memorial Gardens. He was a UT fan, enjoyed fishing, golfing and was currently vice president of the Mt. Pleasant Country Club. He was a member of Fall River United Methodist Church in Lawrence County.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a daughter, Baylee Parish of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Paige Parish of Murfreesboro, TN; a brother, Harry E. Delica Parish, Jr. of Portland, TN; mother and father- in-law, Gerald and Judy Tucker of Leoma, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Vickie Woody of Santa Fe; grandparents-in-law, Solon and Ozell Bivens of Leoma, TN; four nieces, Ashley Parish and Laura Parish, both of Portland, Megan Woody and Madisyn Woody, both of Santa Fe; his beloved companion, Smokey.
Pallbearers will be Scottie Eastep, Brent Lovell, David Lovell, Larry Tucker, Carl Tucker and Virgil Stewart. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of American General Life Insurance, members of the Mt. Pleasant Country Club, staff of Columbia Care and Rehabilitation Center, staff and students of Mt. Pleasant Elementary School and the staff of Williams Funeral Home and Polk Memorial Gardens.
