Perry Philip “Phil” Farris, age 55, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee passed away on Monday, May 02, 2016, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Phil was the son of George Farris and Dana Chapman Farris and was born on December 15, 1960 in Maury County, Tennessee. He was a devoted family man and loved his wife, Brenda Harville Farris, whom he married on October 27, 2002, very much. He had a wonderful sense of humor with his family remembering that, “he was the funniest guy we ever knew”. Two of his favorite hobbies were fishing and gardening. He was a steel worker, being employed at BMC Metal Works in Columbia.
Phil is survived by his wife Brenda Farris of Mt. Pleasant; sons: Perry Hunter of Columbia; Andew (Kayla) Lemay of Williamsport and Hunter (Chelsey) Lemay of Hampshire; sisters: Georgene (Jere) Brinkley of Murfreesboro, Marlin (Michael) McGrew of Franklin and Lynn (Bobby) Andrews of Columbia; mother-in-law: Bessie Scott; and numerous nieces and nephews and his best friend: DeNiro.
Funeral services for Mr. Farris will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee with Bro. Mylen Coble officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.
Tony Morales, Reuben Morales, Timothy Lemay, Michael Lemay, David Harville, Nick Andrews and Matthew Wade will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil’s fellow employees at BMC Metal Works.
