Peggy Sharon Zielinski, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015, at her home in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
Peggy was born on January 23, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan to Wake Randolph and Hilda Osborn Randolph. She married Richard Zielinski in August 1970. She was a devoted mother to her children and doting grandmother. She loved her “Grammy’s girls.” Peggy was very involved in her church. Earlier in her life she taught Sunday School, was a youth leader, and worked VBS at Zion Missionary Baptist in Taylor, Michigan. At Northside Baptist Church she was a TeamKID leader and VBS teacher. She also sang in the choir and played the piano. Peggy was an accomplished pianist and shared her love of music by teaching piano lessons. Peggy also loved to travel. She went RVing from border to border in the US and even traveled to Alaska and Hawaii.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Peggy’s family will have a celebration of life on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Pastor Willie McLaurin and Pastor Jamie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Peggy is survived by her husband Richard “Dick” Zielinski of Spring Hill, Tennessee; son Craig (Michelle) Zielinski of Tega Cay, South Carolina; daughter Amanda (Josh) Connors of Columbia, Tennessee; and her beloved Grammy’s girls: Emma Zielinski, Maddy Underwood, Anna Zielinski, Molly Underwood, and Millie Connors.
Pallbearers will be Charles Cole, John Connors, Charles Maglothin, Jim Dennison, Gary Baker, and Hal Boaz.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of Northside Baptist Church, her WOW Sunday School Class, The Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class, 101st Airborne “No Slack” Soldiers, and Lady Eagles.
