Peggy F. “Wyrick” Nix, age 76, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at her home in Summertown, Tennessee.
Peggy was born in Hohenwald, Tennessee May 27, 1940 to the late Carl Wyrick and late Mary Dickey Wyrick. Following Peggy’s graduation from high school she married the love of her life Jerry Nix July 24, 1958 at the age of 18. She worked for Otasco as a salesman often leading sales, she then moved on to work for Heilig-Meyers where she was the top salesman every month. She finally retired from working as a Rehabilitation Assistant for the state of Tennessee. Every year Peggy would set aside time to raise money for United Way. Even in her volunteering she excelled collecting for the causes she believed in. When she was not working you would find Peggy spending time with her family or watching her Kentucky Wildcats Basketball. Peggy is a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; she is deeply loved, and will be dearly missed.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 58 years Jerry Nix; sons: Victor Nix of Shelbyville, TN, Roger (Mandy) Nix of Adams, TN, and Shannon (Darlene) Nix of Hampton, VA; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and her sister Marie South of Tuscumbia, AL.
The family will visit with friends Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 10:00 am until 12:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, TN. Services will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 Noon with Bro. Ray Watkins and Bill Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Summertown Cemetery.
