Mrs. Peggy Jean Johnson Garner, 63, a resident of Hatcher Lane, died Tuesday, September 10, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Garner will be conducted Saturday, September 14, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Rick Points and Butch Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 2:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Memphis native was the daughter of the late William and Alice Johnson. She was the widow of Bill Leroy Garner who died in 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of The Lord's Corner Church.
She is survived by a son, Chris Garner of Columbia. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Lynn Garner.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Howell, Keith Wright, Bill King, William "Bubba" Hargrove, Jimmy Davidson, and Sammy Eskew. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Massey, Johnnie Winn, Billy Lovett, John Massey, Cheri Howell, Judy Shaw, Jerry Colvett, Ed Callahan, Ladies of The Lord's Corner Church, and Special Sister in Christ, Rose King.
