Mrs. Lillie Pearl Green Johnson, 84, widow of Robert ?Dugan? Johnson and a resident of Mack Benderman Road near Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, May 12, 2005 at NHC/Hillview Health Care.
Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be conducted Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend James Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Giles County native was the daughter of the late Robert Taylor ?Babe? and Annie Walker Green. She was a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Kay Tye Wilcox of Alexander City, AL and mary Edna the late Albert Scroggins of Culleoka, TN; three sons, Paul ?Peanut? Marilyn Johnson of Pecos, TX, Howard ?Punkin? Jean Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, TN, and Bobby Ray Patricia Johnson of Culleoka, TN; 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and 4 step great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Paul Johnson; a sister, Annie Mae Workman; 6 brothers.
Pallbearers will be Case Mangrum, Jeremy Mangrum, Jerry T. Scroggins, Bobby Wade Johnson, Randall Johnson, and Johnny Scroggins. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry W. Scroggins, Jeff Scroggins, Roy Fuller, Andrew Johnson, employees of J&S Painting and Plant Operations at Maury Regional Hospital.
