Pauline Hindman Owen

June 12, 1920 — October 18, 2011

Mrs. Pauline Marie Hindman Owen went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at her home on Tuesday, October 18 at the age of 91. Throughout her lifetime, her children say that Pauline was always more concerned with the health and well being of her family than her own. She had been a cook for the Lynnville and Richland Schools and was a faithful member for most of her life of the Taylor's Chapel Methodist Church in Yokley, TN. For the past several years she had been a member of the Welcome Valley Baptist Church.

Pauline was born June 12, 1920 in Giles County, to the late Anderson Hayes and Wessie Chapman Hayes. She was first married to the late James Andrew "Jim" Hindman and later to the late Howard Owen.

Survivors include five generations of her family: her two children, Elizabeth George Sherman Holt of Pulaski and Melvin Ruby Hindman of Lynnville; granddaughters: Patricia Marie Greg Chapman of Ohio, Dina Mike Daniels of Lynnville and Diane Randall Shannon of Shelbyville; 9 great-grandchildren, Dara Keith Crabtree, Fara Norwood, Chad Brown, Jordan Marina Hindman, Travis Sheril Yokley, Ashley Young, Josh Yokley, Thomas George and Kattie Ed Graham and 11 great-great-grandchildren along with two step-daughters, Joyce Helton of Mooresville and Joanne Pollock of Hohenwald. In addition to her parents and husbands, Pauline was preceded in death by a grandson, Mel Hindman.

Funeral services for Mrs. Owen will be conducted Thursday at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Dale Myers officiating. Burial will follow in the Gibsonville Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Hickman, Larry Hayes, Travis Yokley, Josh Yokley, Jordan Hindman, Tommy George and Randy Shannon. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Herb Helton family.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Welcome Valley Baptist Church, 4283 Little Dry Creek Road, Pulaski, TN 38478.
