Paul Stephen Hayes, Sr.

Mr. Paul Stephen Hayes, Sr., 73, a resident of Azalea Drive in Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, September 26, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Hayes will be conducted Sunday, September 29, 2002 at 3:30 p.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Randy Kersey and Webb Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Hershel Hayes and Ruby McAfee Hayes Rice. He was retired from L&N and CSX Railroad. He was a graduate of Hay Long High School and member of the Main Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by two sons, Paul Stephen Sue Hayes, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and Mark A. Melissa Hayes of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Brent Brandi Hayes of Franklin, Brittainy Hayes of Murfreesboro, Maegan and Matthew Hayes of Mt. Pleasant; five step grandchildren, Craig Stacey Eggleton of Franklin, Ben Eggleton of Jacksonville, FL, Ellen Tony Thomas of Cookeville, Beth Eggleton of Franklin, and Katie Frank Highland of Nashville; three step great grandchildren, Nicole Thomas and Daniel Thomas both of Cookeville, and Garrett Highland of Nashville; special care giver, Martha Milan of Mt. Pleasant; special sitter, Brenda King of Mt. Pleasant.
Pallbearers will be Brent Hayes, Matt Hayes, Anthony Davis, Frank Highland, Terry Brewer, Randy Woods, Russell Thomason, Tony Thomas, Ronnie Bates, Ben Eggleton, and Craig Eggleton. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven "Ju-Ju" Boshers, elders and deacons of Main Street Church of Christ, men of Main Street Church of Christ, co-workers at L&N/ CSX Railroad, Dr. Thomas London, Dr. Shawn Reed, Dr. Moataz Toban, Dr. Rodney Poling, Dr. Taylor Rayburn, nurses of ICU and step down at Maury Regional Hospital, Louis Wood, Harold Wood, and Raymond Wood.
