Paul "Jr" Gregory Hayward Ii

Mr. Paul “JR” Gregory Hayward II, age 32, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015 in Hickman County, Tennessee.

JR was born on December 23, 1983 in Bay City, Michigan to Catherine Pence and the late Paul Gregory Hayward. He was married to Rebecca Hayward and the father of two children. He was a very loving father to his kids. JR had a ready smile and a zest for life. He was an employee of BESCO Electrical Contractors. He was well respected in his trade as an electrician and was a dedicated electrical worker and proud member of the IBEW #429 (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Culleoka, Tennessee. In his spare time he was passionate about playing basketball and shooting pool.

JR is survived by his wife: Rebecca Hayward of Williamsport; children: Kaleb Christopher Gracin-Hayward and Carter Ryan Hayward; parents: Catherine and W. T. Pence of Columbia; siblings: Cassandra “Cassie” (Steve) Shockley and Travis (Kristin) Hayward; step-sister: Jenny (Chad) Brewer; step-brother: Alex Pence; maternal grandparents: William (Marne) Coppinger; paternal grandmother: Dorothea Hayward; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins with special mention of his niece Ava Shockley. He was preceded in death by his father: Paul Hayward; paternal grandfather: Howard Hayward; and maternal grandmother: Joan Schwall.

A memorial service to celebrate JR’s life will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at 3:00 p.m.

The family would like to give special recognition to all those that have touched JR’s life and heart including the “Culleoka Kids”.
